We all know that the smell of the coffee percolator or freshly baked bread is the key to selling your house, however, staff at local estate agents Gascoigne Halman have taken things a stage further and have been baking cakes, cookies and muffins, selling them to prospective home buyers and sellers, in fact anyone passing by their offices…all in the name of a good cause.

 Gascoigne Halman’s ‘Bakethon’ challenged staff at 17 offices across Cheshire, South Manchester and the High Peak, to don their aprons and whisk up some delicious donations for The Christie.  And, what a very satisfying event it proved to be with a grand total of £2,017 raised on the day.

Andrew Rogers from the Knutsford office said: “Who could resist the lure of a cupcake, especially when you know that you are indulging yourself for a good cause?  It was a great deal of fun and I think the staff enjoyed creating, and then eating, the various cakes.”
